For some, that means a luxury all-inclusive resort where everything is seamless and elevated, from dining to oceanfront suites. For others, it’s stepping into something more immersive, like a small ship sailing through the Caribbean, where each day brings a new island and a quieter, more refined pace of travel. And for those looking to create something truly special, a private villa experience—especially when shared with friends—can completely redefine what a winter getaway looks like. There’s something different about traveling with a small, like-minded group. I’ve seen it firsthand with clients who decide to turn a simple trip into a shared experience. The energy shifts. It becomes less about the destination alone and more about the memories you create together—sunset dinners, relaxed mornings, and that feeling of being completely present without the distractions of everyday life. Planning your Getaway From a planning perspective, group travel is also one of the biggest reasons to start early. Coordinating schedules, securing the right accommodations, and locking in preferred dates takes time, especially if you want everyone to have the same elevated experience. The earlier you start, the easier it is to design something that feels effortless rather than complicated. This is also where some of the most exciting opportunities come into play. Small ship and yacht-style sailings, one of the areas I’m seeing the most growth in right now. They offer a completely different way to experience the Caribbean. These aren’t large cruise ships. They’re intimate, curated journeys with limited guests, unique ports, and a pace that feels intentional and unhurried. The tradeoff is availability—they book quickly, often well in advance, because there are simply fewer cabins. The same goes for the types of travel experiences. I’m building those into my Signature Experiences collection. These are thoughtfully designed trips that bring together the best of what my clients are looking for. Beautiful destinations, elevated accommodations, and a sense of connection, whether that’s through shared travel or curated moments along the way. And just like everything else in the luxury space, the best opportunities are always the first to be reserved. What I always tell my clients is this: winter travel isn’t last-minute travel. It’s planned travel. The goal isn’t just to escape the cold. It’s to step into something that feels like a true reset. Whether that’s a quiet beachfront retreat, a week of island hopping on a small ship, or a villa filled with friends where the days unfold effortlessly. If a winter Caribbean escape is on your mind, even as just an idea, this is the time to start the conversation. The earlier we begin, the more options you have, and the more we can shape the experience around exactly how you want it to feel. Because the best trips aren’t the ones you manage to book.They’re the ones you plan with intention.
https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/50dacc_3a07934d10594e22887eb319e2d435aamv2.jpg
{"Written by":"Jenny Macleod","Est. reading time":"4 minutes
@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"Article","@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584#article
@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584
Jenny Macleod","@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/#/schema/person/470f2de3c9d94e67301f91ffb62376e4
{"@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584
{"@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/#organization
@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584#primaryimage
https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/50dacc_3a07934d10594e22887eb319e2d435aamv2.jpg
BeachesAndDreamTravel
Lifestyle Living","Travel
en-US
@type":"CommentAction
Comment
https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584#respond"]}]},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584
https://lifestylelivingwithjen.com/?p=584
When to Book Your Winter Caribbean Escape -
